Beautifully written,
understated passion,
when I put pen to paper,
a confident outpour happens.
This is me,
and this is where my strengths lie,
but ask me to present myself to a room of people,
I’ll likely fluster when I say hi.
If I was bold and bolshy,
I would have worked in sales.
Instead it takes a calming discipline,
to write features and fairytales.
So, why can’t I hide behind this pen?
It’s where I thrive, it’s where I shine.
I won’t feel the pressure of speaking out,
when this page is mine, all mine.
